Never saw the movie or read the book.

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/cbc/s/18052006/3/world-fbi-acts-jimmy-hoffa-tip.html

For some reason, the thought of Jimmy Hoffa came up today maybe because I was thinking about unionism in EFL teaching, etc.. Then, when I get home and start reading Yahoo news, they say that the FBI got a tip on his disappearance. Does that type of "coincidental" stuff happen to many of you here?

Anyways, was reading the news about the latest tip on his disappearance. He was last seen in 1975 and his body was never found.

His son is now the Union leader of the Teamsters.

Did the mafia take him out?

There's an old rumor that he was buried in the foundation of New Jersey's Meadowlands sports complex. No one knows.

It was a case of erotic asphyxiation involving a camel, three arab men and a can of tuna gone horribly wrong.

The rumor about the New Jersey's Meadowlands was discounted years ago. Theres an instrument used in construction to test concrete for structural integrity, cracks or significant air bubbles. They tested the stadium and the sound that would have resonated from human remains was not present.

Wasn't he ground up in the back of a garbage truck, like Max at the end of Once Upon a Time in America?

I have something of James R. Hoffa's in my house. If I manage to dig it up, shall I post photos?

I won't discuss this online. BTW, if any of you should ever have the great misfortune of meeting the Guru in the flesh, you might ask him to tell you about this quaint curio.

The search for his remains has restarted, focusing on Hidden Dreams Farm in Milford Township, Michigan.

I'd be surprised if they found anything.
