Hey everyone! I keep hearing about this bar somewhere in Pyeongcheon called the OB Bar where foreigners sometimes get together on Wednesday evenings. Can anyone tell me where it is?
I am already in the mood for a drink and it's only Monday morning, so you can appreciate the direness of my situation. By midweek I'm definitely going to need to replenish my bloodstream...

Any help is appreciated.

Erin

It's kind of hard to describe, do you know the street called "Hagwon Row?" (To use the local parlance.)

Starting at Beomgye Station (somewhat far) take a cab to Feeltop Hagwon ("Peel-tap" works best here). Once you get there, walk towards the overpass until you get to a gas station (it will be on your right hand side). Just before this gas station is a pedestrian crosswalk. Use it. Walk along that little road there.

Here's where my memory gets a little fuzzy. (someone else verify this please)

Make your first left, then your first right and it should be on your left hand side (walk a bit... but not more than 3 minutes). If you don't find it there, walk around that area and you'll run into it. I've led you to within about 50 meters of the place.

OK, I'll give this a shot. I live right near there and go there regularly, so hopefully I can pull it off with some degree of accuracy Very Happy

Go to Pyeongchon, Hagwan-ga and get out at the lights by the Family Mart (opposite end of the strip from McDonalds). You want to cross the busy road going away from Family Mart. With Family Mart to your back, continue up the small road. You'll walk by a GS-25 on your left, turn left on the next street. Take the next right and you should see the big blue "Hi OB" sign in front of you to the left, about a block up the street.

Hope that helps!
