Has Jinju gone crazy lately or something? He is easily becoming one of the most offensive people on the board. Take some medicine and a nap or something. Every thread I have looked at he is working hard to look like an A$$ and really succeeding.

Perhaps a tear in the space-time continuim has opened up in his living room, pulling his mind back in time. I hear that all those nuke tests the US conducted could be responsible for something like that. Perhaps someone should go check his place, I'd hate for him to continue going back time. We'd have to listen to him rant and rave about the grave threat Napoleon poses to the free world!

If we don't stop the growing threat now, Napoleon will control all of Europe, we must stop the french now, before our way of life is lost forever!

So you dont see a threat from the communist north, right? The stories of 1.1 armed men at the DMZ are bogus, there have never been any North korean agents in the South, and the current government isnt doing everything the North wants, right?

Wake me when they get to 2 men and a dog.

Your simplification of the Korean problem into one of a McCarthy-esque crusade against Communism would be sad if it weren't so damned funny.

N, I don't see a serious threat. Yes they have a huge army and nukes but they are also surrounded by 3 of the world's most modern and powerful forces, Japan, S.Korea and the US. N.Korea aint doing anything.

Not to mention they cant even feed their own people I'm not afraid of a bunch of starving men. Add to the fact the only reason the North didnt lose the war was because China stepped up and sent troops. That will never happen now because then Taiwan would declare independance and the world would support them. Take a chill pill fella.

Has Patchy really got to you that much? Jinju, I used to think you were a cool poster, but you have gone off the deep end lately. A girl was talking about homesickness and you went off on how crappy Canada is. If you don't see yourself as being offensive, take another look. You are accusing everybody that doesn't agree with you as a communist.

Maybe you're right. Im just pissed off about the crap that happened with the knife attack and some of the posters criminal views towards it. Ill cool off. Maybe I did go off on that chick, and that wasnt cool. Although I just revisted. I didnt actually go off on her. I just said that I was never homesick, which is true. THEN that idiot bacon guy chimes in with his stupid photos and I went off on him. But thats not cool either as he is a troll and getting trolled is lame. So there.

Still, coming back to the issue at hand, read the best political blog out there www.korealiberator.org and you will see that there really is an underlying and real communist threat in this country, its not just some 1950s Red Scare fantasy.

The current regime isnt about reunification per se. They are more about handing the country over to the North. You have to be blind not to see it. Unconditional support which is really turning into defeinding the North's every damn crime even when the evidence is there that they are guilty. The South doesnt challenge the North on ANYTHING. Not drug smuggling, not abductions, not the nuclear issue, not on counterfeiting. NOTHING. And when the DPRK does launch the missile you will see that the South wont even condemn them for that. There is NOTHING the North could do to get the South to condemn them for. Not a single thing, short of actual war and then Im not sure you would see this government even put up a defense. Its funny that this party is buildong airfields in the North (why does the North need airfields anyway, not like people fly there nless its Chung, Roh or that former president who bought a nobel for himself with Samsung's money) and their current leader is planning to castrate his own country's defense forces. Seriously, are you blind as to what the hell is going on? because the North isnt. Thats why they threatened the South with a delluge of fire if the GNP wins the elections on May 31

Quote:
On the 16th, through its website called Among our ethnic people, the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland of the United Front Department in the (North) Korea Workers' Party claimed that, If the citizens of Seoul vote for the Grand National Party, all the people on the peninsula would undergo the ravage of war, in a review entitled, There is an expectation for the citizens of Seoul to make a responsible choice.

yes. We expect you southerners to make the right choice. Vote for the party that gives us everything we want whenever we want and never challenges us on anything. If you dont, we will unleash a delluge of fire upon you all. Now vote and give us money/rice/fertilizers and a big kiss on our ass.

Jinju, I actually agree with most of the points underlying your off-the-wall style remarks. The Uri party is pro-communist, and appears to desire unification at any price. The highest price, in my opinion, is the human rights situation the Uri party seems to be intent on ingnoring. Of course, both parties have their problems, but I think the GNP is strongest in its ddefense of keeping the US - Korea alliance strong, and addressing the human rights situation in NK.

Peace

Chretien, the former Canadian Prime Minister was slashed by a French-Canadian hockey skate when he was a young lad, which led to his speach impediment. Actually, the skate cut so deeply that his vocal chords were forever affected. True story, and he later became the leader of the counry. So, there is hope for this lady after all.

Nah, he had a severe attack of Bell's palsy when he was a kid, which damaged his hearing (he's practically deaf in one hear) and one of his facial nerves.

My money is on Derrek/Gollum/BBE.

Pissed at me? I appreciate the attention, but Derrek and I are friends.

Politics makes me weazy, these days, anyway.

Jinju is right. Studies show that homesickness for Canada is an early sign of nascent pinko tendencies.
And bed-wetting.

I remember my first year in Korea, I was reading an article in the paper, which quoted some GNP bigwig as saying that the Kim Dae Jung government had dangerous left-wing tendencies. One of the examples he gave of these dangerous left-wing tendencies was that the government had made it illegal for pharmacists to prescribe medication.
