Does anyone know if it's possible to do a visa run to Japan's Tsushima Island. It's so close (between Pusan and Fukuoka). |

Probably not, as far as I know there is no Korean consulate there, but there is just a few hours away in Fukuoka. I've done a visa run to Jakarta, Indonesia, despite Immigration here telling me I couldn't. Pretty much any country with an Embassy or Consul will give you an E2, but it can take longer than the two days that it takes in Nippon. |

Dehli was good. Shanghai would be cheap. |

I've seen an ad in the Korea Times by one of the travel agents offering a visa run package to Macau.

No, but I've been there before. It's really close but that only counts for the town on the north side; if you're going to Izuhara it has to go all the way around to the south part and it takes just as long as it does to get to Busan.
Here's what I wrote on it:

It's all listed in the TRAVEL forum of this board.
Japan is typically overnight.
Bangkok is typically overnight.
Manila is 2 - 4 days but can be done in 1 hour if you have an INTERNATIONAL flight going somewhere OTHER than Korea on the same day (experience talking - been there done that).
Guam is overnight.
China is 1-4 days but you need a visa to enter China first.
I think that covers most of the close ones. |

I did a run to Hong Kong. It took less than 3 hours to fly to from Busan. I got into HK at 11am...train directly to downtown....walked 10 minutes to the consulate....had everything in before 2pm...picked up the visa the next morning at 9 am....smooth...and as cheap as Fukuoka and Osaka....plus HK is great to see and explore. |
