Do you miss your dog from back home? Wish you had a dog to walk and play with this summer? Don't want to commit to buying a new pet overseas? I need your help!

I'm looking for a "dog-sitter" for 1-2 months this summer. My baby is an 8 month old Yorkshire Terrier, extremely active. He needs a lot of attention and and a daily walk...he's very friendly and quite entertaining! If you are interested in taking care of my dog for a few months this summer, please contact me and we will work out the details, including payment.

Hi,
My name is Jessica.. I am living in Pusan with my boyfriend... I am not working while I am here and would love a companion... We are planning to travel for about a week this summer though... Can I ask when you are planning to go away for? Maybe if our scheduals mesh it would be a good solution for both of us... I'm very board during the day...

I am coming to the Apgujeong area of Seoul next week. I am having to foster my English Setter that I have had for 7 years while I am abroad and will sorely miss the companionship of a dog. What experience have you had in being a dog owner in Seoul?

having a dog in seoul can be a real challenge...mostly depending on what kind of housing you have...if you have a villa-style house with a balcony or roof, which are more common in areas such as itaewon and haebongchon, then it can be ok....if you live in an apartment building in a crowded area it can be difficult...no place to let the dog use the toilet so you can't train them properly to go outdoors, they need to be paper-trained for inside....the roads are really filthy in some areas so after walking you need to wash your pup every time...
but usually they're worth the effort, especially ones as cute as mine Wink

pet stores are amazing and have a huge selection of all supplies...vets are good as well....were you thinking of bringing over your dog?

No, my setter has already gone to his foster home for the time that I am over there. I have read that Koreans are afraid of big dogs and don't want to deal with that. I'll have to wait unti I get there to see what my living arrangements are like before I can make any decisions on whether or not to get a dog or even sit one. Thanks for the info!
