Regardless of what "the island" is, the premise of the show, that people could survive a plane crash from tens of thousands of feet, is absolutely absurd.

Therefore, unless the survivors are dead or in purgatory/hell/heaven the whole premise of the show is BUNK (and we're not simply talking "suspension of disbelief" here). It simply becomes an exercise in skullduggery for the writers, and that's a goddam pisser.

Good thing ALL other tv is always completely realistic.

A couple weird things:

The guys at the end were Portuguese... not Russian. Were they manning an arctic ice station or is it a snowball world... even Southern Europe is covered in ice and snow?

Why does Eko think he can blow through blast doors?

Why was Desmond so easily convinced that the button pushing was a fraud? I mean, he let it run down once before and some really, really scary crap went on. Shouldn't he have mentioned that?

I did like the scene with the trash pile of pneumatic tubes.

Shouldn't someone have gone to the hatch to see if Locke and Eko were okay? Why does Charlie just so casually sit on his duff?

Is the foot a clue that maybe the island is some super ancient lost civilization like Atlantis?

The four toes must be some tie in with the Simpsons. Maybe Monty Burns is up to something, or it is just JJ Abrams tribute to the Simpsons.

The gal who answered the phone. Wasn't she the babe in the 80s tv show Beauty and the Beast? Wasn't the Beast's name Vincent? Any connection there with the dog?

Did anyone else feel really good when Kate shot that guy?

The way the 'Others' dress, and live, makes me wanna go to a Jeju folk village and start kickin' some ass.

Locke should not be allowed to make big dicisions. A box company is about all he can handle.

If I were Hurley, I would have jumped on that boat and killed Walt.

Michael developed into the most irritating character. "THEY GOT MY BOY. THEY GOT MY BOY." Yeah yeah. We know. Now shut up and shave, mountain man.

Loved the Empire Strikes Backesque ending with Sawyer, Jack and Kate.

Charlie should have be a little more concerned about Locke and Eko, non?

Walt has appeared in places where he actually isn't is.

That's what Klough (Clue) said.

He's not really on that boat.

Michael's gonna ride off and the boat's gonna explode/suddenly Walt won't actually be there.

His bearings will be screwed by the magnets.

No one's getting off the island at this time.

To note: Lostpedia mentions the commercials for the Hanso Corporation mixed in with others. Watchers here in Korea get the show without the commercials.

They include 1-800 numbers and a website. Find your own compass. Noodle around with it, and it will ask you if you're one of the good ones. You'll find a board of directors with one missing member named McIntyre.

The ABC website also features a journal written by someone on the beach who knew the woman who drowned during season 1.

Hurley and Sawyer were reading a Manuscript called the "Bad Twin". Jack burned it before Sawyer could finish.

Appareantly, during the off-season, this manuscript will be released as a book.

Henry Gale bears a strong resemblance to Clair's ex-Fiancee/boyfriend.

Hence, the Bad Twin?

that sounds plausible, I was expecting the boat to blow up as it drove off, something about the way Henry said bon voyage was really really sinister and full of threat,

it was quite a good episode, there is still a lot left hanging though. I don't think Eko and Locke are dead either, and Charlie was acting a bit odd, you would expect a rescue party to go charging off to the hatch to see what had happened and if they were ok

And Libby giving the boat to Desmond (it was Libby right??), still want to know why she was in the hospital with Hurley, maybe she cracked up over her husbands death or something, looking forward to the next season

In any case, I'm glad they killed off Locke's character. What started out as an enigmatic, sage-like jungle warrior character eventually became a goddam "I just don't know anymore!!!", teary-eyed poofta.

R.I.P.

Woo-hoo! NO MORE black men on the island! White America, rest easy! Eko is most likely dust in the wind, and who knows when or if Michael/Walt will return. Next they'll take out the sand n*gger and then those dirty Koreans will follow. In the end it'll just be Jack and Kate and the alien monster in bed sticking their tongues down each other's throats.*

*don't flame me. if you don't get it, you're a moron.
all apologies to those of you who do get it, and are not in fact morons.

That's basically what the Libbyactress implied on Craig Ferguson:

That she'd be more busy with the show now that she was dead.

I'll Eko Cool the above statement that Charlie is 'compromised'.

My prediction: Jack et al. will be hostage for at least half the next season.

Desmond, Locke, Eko, and Charlie will now be in the pwoer positions.

They don't know the secret of The Pearl.

That's how it will go if they intend to continue to provide the "weak: flashbacks.

It will focus on them and the Koreans.

Major events of season 3: How Locke got into the wheelchair.

Who Sun's baby is.

New characters!

I for one am done with this show. I'll let others watch it, and if I hear that everything actually tied together, I'll consider catching up. Tonight was just the last straw on a bad season. Yes, I watched every episode, hoping something important would be answered. The only thing that got answered is what Michael did. I was waiting to find out what ever happened with the 'powerful numbers', (from season 1?) and what they represented. That's basically been thrown out the window. Too many loose ends, I don't want to wait 5 years for answers. I've never seen something drag on so much.

This guy is pretty funny:

http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/show.cgi?show=136

Quote:
Michael briefly looks remorseful, and then goes racing into the computer room, where he starts hammering on the keyboard. The cursor doesn't even respond for a second, and when the screen finally displays what Michael types, it's all gibberish, like "asajsskadfjklsdjfl," like in his distress he can't lift his fingers from the home keys, so I hope he's gotten used to communicating with Walt using only those letters. "Dad sad; has flak; a salad." D'oh! He deletes all that, and types, "You okay?" Fool! "OK" would save valuable Walt-rescuing time. Seconds go by, with no response. Michael looks crushed. Then: "ok. no time. come soon?" Look, Walt. That's not how we do things at TWoP. Proper capitalization, dude. I don't care that you've been "kidnapped by the Others" or whatever the fock, I'm bumping up your warning level. Michael types that he's coming NOW, and also, "You said north?" like AS IF Walt knows from directions. Michael types "north WHERE?" because probably by this time Walt has also worked out latitude and longitude. There's a long wait, and then, on the screen, "when they take me out, there's huge rocks with a big HOLE in the middle by the beach. you'll know when you see it." Michael types, "It's gonna be okay. I'm coming, Walt." And he says out loud, "I'm coming, Walt," as he types it, too.

hahahaa

There's Sun and Jin on the beach, working on a fishing net. Sun glances up, and says, "Michael?" Jin glances up, and sure enough, there's Michael with Jack, strolling over. And there are four extras, down the beach aways, running towards the camera, merrily saying things like, "It's Michael!" I love the enthusiastic extras. You know they're all excited because of the two open spots in the main cast. Claire, carrying Aaron, and Charlie make their way over too, as an overjoyed Jin hugs Michael, who looks like he swallowed a spider. I really enjoyed watching Perrineau in this scene, as he seems to be realizing that he's made a choice that has changed everything, not to sound too much like an ABC preview promise. Everyone's happy to see him -- and he's just killed two of them, and no one knows it, yet. For me, it's a really interesting road to go down, and I hope Michael doesn't get killed before the rest of the Lostaways find out what happened. Anyway, Michael does his best to put on a smiling face, as he hugs Sun too; she's all smiles, until she looks a little ways away to where two blanket-covered bodies sit on the sand, Kate grimly digging a hole beside them

You're thinking of Linda Hamilton. I don't know who the actress is that plays Desmond's flame, btu she looks very familiar.

I'm guessing there will be a few new characters next season. When the numbers weren't punched in on time, I'm thinking some vehicle was drawn to the island.

Another plane? A sub? The Love Boat?

Time will tell.

I'm just hoping that some day they can explain how/why the shark from Season 2, Episode 1 had a dharma sticker on its tail.....

It's like they're trying to make it less mystical this season, but they've got a lot to answer for.....the smoke, the monster who put the pilot in the tree and could knock down trees, the numbers, the shark....

I doubt that any of these things have rational explanations...

And, if Desmond really did cause the accident, then that means it's just a fluke coincidence that their plane crashed, which means that they shouldn't be there, which means that everything in the flashbacks are just coincidence....
