There seem to be trucks blaring out political campaign slogans everywhere. Throngs of people stand out in front of them too and there are copius support staff wearing uniforms and bowing. I haven't as yet been able to figure out what the local elections are for. Are they for burrough councils or what?

Anyone out there in the know?

I know that

(1) Those blaring trucks and irritating bows are annoying,

but,

(2) Because of them it is a holiday on Wednesday! Woo! I'm all in favour of WEEKLY elections.

One of my younger adult students father is running for election round my way. Today, one of his dad's supporters trucks was blaring crap just outside of our class. We gave the poor lad 시t.. I feel guilty now.. (well, not really)
