all the people are doing is electing someone who will just end up being arrested for embizzlement later on!
whats the point!!
I dont even vote in New zealand or Italy.. never have probably never will
its just a waste of time.. |

| Its not because its sort of a recognition of your rights here in this country. To me this is basically just that, and its going to be fun to go vote and see the reactions. Its not who wins thats the point, its about being an empowered member of this society. Until that happens, other rights dont come along. Theres a good reason why getting the right to vote has been seen as a milestone in women's rights. Empowerement leads to a level playing field. So this is a significant thing. |

What about people who don't have the right to vote such as E-1's E'2...and who offer up political opinions? Are you going to blast THEM for it?
As for politically apathetic people, maybe they are that way, because when you get right down to it, there's usually not a whole lot of difference between politicians. They're all lying, two-faced, power-hungry, money-grubbing used-car salesmen.
I would say most people who vote should be blasted as they are perperting this trend. |
No. Corporal verbalized her apathy so I will slam her. Not being able to vote doesnt equal being politically apathetic.
See my reply to itaewonguy as to why voting is important. Would you go back in a time machine and tell women who got the right to vote not to vote because politicians are crap? Its not about who is running its about getting certain rights in a democratic society. lets face it, those in power dont give a damn about those who cant vote. |

I do vote in my home country, incidentally. Simply "because it will be cool to be stared at" is not a persuasive enough reason for me to vote in any Korean elections, however. |
