I got the korean V3 pro anti-virus installed on my comp.
The damn thing is all in Korean. Is this better than AVG?
Im used to using AVG(english).
Also, anyone know what PC-Clean is? This was another korean program installed on my comp. |

V3 is the most useless antivirus I've ever used. It might be better nowadays, but 5 years ago it was shit driven off of nationalism. |

It might sound racist, but I refuse to use any Korean software...
For instance, I think VLC is way better multi-video player than whatever the Korean equivalent is, even though people keep raving about it (the non-VLC). |

I've been using AVG for over 2 years now without any problems.
Avast is also supposed to be very good.
T-dot, don't forget that you should only ever have one AV program installed at a time; Just like video drivers and firewalls, having more than one can cause conflicts. |

At an previous school our computers were not working properly and when it was suggested to management that we had a virus problem they said V3 was taking care of the problem.
I then proceeded to uninstall V3, without permission, and put on a pirated copy of Norton. I ran a scan and found over 30 viruses that V3 didn't catch despite being 100% up to date on definitions.
V3 bites. |

Anyone notice that taskbar icon for V3 is very similar to Kaspersky's? I have wondered if they have some kind of relationship of if it's just a mere coincidence...

AVG free edition has been working great for me for 3 years.
Adaware failed recently but Spybot: search and destroy seems a good replacement.
This site is good for free software....
