I'm curious as to how you discovered this. My experience has always been that draft beer was watered down and didn't make for good buzzes, though good headaches were a guarantee. If sugar is added (and more alcohol too, though I'm not sure how unless the company makes different batches), then that would explain the headaches. A very interesting bit of information. |
Have you tried it in Korea? I have a real tough time holding my liquor when drinking saeng mekju. After three pints I have a wicked buzz going, whereas I can drink bottled Cass like Water.
Some Korean was explaining it to me, about the extra sugar and such. |

All the time. I find Cass to be the best of the worst as well (too hard to find Red Rock) but the draft never seems to do it for me. I go through pitchers of the stuff without feeling much different.
Edit: actually all the time in the past. I got sick of the headaches and lousy taste and gave up on Korean beer a couple years ago, with rare exceptions. An expensive decision, to say the least. |

for god's sake don't drink more than 1/2 bottle of the stuff unless you enjoy splitting headaches...
I like soju, it's my nightcap, but I rarely get through more than a bottle every three days, and that's enough of a buzz! Why people like to get extremely drunk is a mystery to me. The pleasant feeling of light intoxication cannot be improved by continuing to guzzle! Perhaps someone could explain to me the joys of getting seriously drunk (like an entire bottle of soju)? |
