| Hello... I'm an experienced teacher and have chosen Korea as my next overseas teaching destination. Could someone please advise me as to which recruiters are reputable and reliable? There is such a plethera of jobs out there and it seems they would be a good place to begin a search. Thanks in advance! |

| Park English is good as well as english Korea. Nikki for park English is good and Alexis for English Korea is another good person who is very helpful. |

I had a lot of luck with Footprints Recruiting.
Good job, good relaxed atmosphere, great boss, great staff.
But again, not every recruiter is for every person. This one just happened to be right for me. Walked me through step by step and answered all of my questions efficiently and honestly.
Probably better for a first timer who has never been in the country before.

| I worked with both Footprints and Park English before coming here. Both were helpful and I was able to secure several contract offers in both hagwons and public schools through them. I chose, however to take a position at a school where I was recruited directly by the lead teacher. This has worked out for me so far. I think that either of those 2 would be helpful in your search. | I want to thank you all who replied most helpfully to my post. I had looked through all the threads, but since there is soooo much info regarding recruiters (much of it several years old), I thought I'd try and get some fresh info. Nice to know there are some folks out there who are willing to help without caustic remarks... If anyone else knows of other somewhat trustworthy organizations that help newcomers to Korea, I'm still listening! Thanks! |

My boyfriend and I went with Stephan Cho at Orange Education in 2005. (eduorange.com I think) We were really happy with our school, and Stephan was helpful through the whole adjustment period and even came to visit a few times during the year, and kept offering to taking us hiking. That's not to say all of his schools are great, but he won't place you in a disreputable school. (My co-worker's friend was placed by Stephan and wasn't as happy as we were, but I think it was a 'grass is greener' situation rather than a disreputable school situation).
Anyway, we are using him again, if he can find what we want. |

| I'm a newb at this so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I'd recommend ATC at www.atcjob.com The head recruiter there "Patrick" has been very helpful. I've worked with several recruiters in my job search and this agency has been the most helpful, timely, and forthright. |

Is Stephan Cho about 5'8" tall, 190 pounds, and has a quite discernible Mexican-American (i.e., Los Angeles Barrio) accent when he does the English thang? If so, he's the person who saved me from going to a very bad school in Seoul. |

Sounds like him. I could never quite figure out his accent. He learned in Australia though, but I can see the barrio tones. Did he ask you to go hiking? |

Sounds like him. I could never quite figure out his accent. He learned in Australia though, but I can see the barrio tones. Did he ask you to go hiking? |
Stephan Cho, if it's the same individual who was adopted by the Grommesh family from Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A., is a Narcotics Agent based out of Seocho, Seoul City, R.O.K. who'll do his slimy best to send even his own English instructors to jail if it's financially convenient!
Trust me on this one: He's a Gyopo/ "Korean Killer" gang member - or so he said this dung to me about himself and his buddies at ENI in a telephone conversation in late Spring, 2003.
For the record, the Korean Killers gang is very active in: Houston, Tx; L.A., Calif; Portland, Or; Seattle, Wa; New York City, N.Y.; Sacramento, and most of Orange County, California; the Lawrence-Lowell-Lynn area of Massachusetts; and, lastly, not unknown in the Southern New Hampshire and Southern Maine areas of so-called Northern New England.
Tread far away from this likely well known K-American gang member, eh. Fork it, stay away from his buddies at ENI Education, too: Eric, Kevin, Lawrence Min of Kangnam University, and Sunny Jang.
Steve and his cohorts from ENI (Sunny Jang, Eric Whatever, and Lawrence Min of the private thing known as Kangnam University in Gyeonggi-do Province) took my Official Documents and, Min in particular, refused to return them until I threatened to resort to fist-a-cuffs with these loads. The follow-up threats-of-death from Grommesh merely compelled me to go to the U.S. Embassy after which these Gyopo Scum caved in to my repeated requests to return my Work Docs to moi.
Bottom line: Grommesh, Sunny Jang, et-al, are totally evil forkers who'll smile as they plot your own financial demise. Never, ever trust these forks nor any of their co-conspirators: "Kevin" and Lawrence Min - the 5'9" fork with a discernible Queens Borough, New York City accent.
Y'all dig? Me hopes so, eh.
