So this morning my iPod just completely melted down on me - I've tried everything, resetting it, restoring it, you name it.

I know there's a new Apple store in the COEX, but does anyone know if they handle servicing and repairs?

I very much doubt they do the repairs in store. They'd probably just let you pay them to ship it off to the repair centre.

If your iPod is under warranty then look into exactly what that allows you. If its not, then your best bet will probably be over in Yongsan. I don't have any specific directions to an iPod / MP3 player repair store there, but I know they exist.

apple store in coex has a service technician...but you'd better call ahead. Apple has authorized service centres all over the place tho. Check their Korean website for a list of authorized service centres.

Apple products are infallible- you must have bought a knock-off by mistake...

Thanks for the info -

After spending countless hours on the Apple website, reading forums as to what I should do, I came across the suggestion of dropping it somewhat roughly onto a countertop. It did the trick, and I'm glad it did because I was at the end of my rope with it.

Apple products are infallible; if you go to their webpage and look through the forums, there are many, many unhappy Apple customers.

Anyways, thanks for the suggestions!

i bought a new 40 Gig Ipod and in 4 months it died. I took it back and they told me it had a weak harddrive and gave me a new one. The new one died 7 months later.

I bought and Iriver and resolved the issue.

I recommend using it as a paperweight.
