I'd love to come as well... but if something comes up I hope you'll still be holding another get together in August ... it would be lovely to meet some other ladies here! I agree that missing my best girlfriends is definitely the hardest part of being away. Hopefully I'll meet you all on the 25th.

Short Notice, but on Monday is the SIWA Working Women's Network meeting:

Quote:
Dear ladies,

The next Working Womens Network meeting will be on Monday, June 12th from 7 p.m. at Somerset Palace Hotel, in Insa-dong. We will be very glad to welcome Mrs. Betty de Vita, as our guest speaker. Betty De Vita was appointed Country Business Manager for the Global Consumer Group in Korea in October 2005. She is responsible for the overall consumer business after the acquisition of Koram Bank by Citibank in November 2004.

A dinner buffet together with red wine will be served after the presentation.

Entrance fees: SIWA / WWN members = KRW 20,000, Non members = KRW 25,000

Please do not forget to register by June 10th if you want to attend our meeting since I have to confirm the number of participants in advance. Those who have already registered are not required to do it again.

Kind regards.

Catherine

I'll be going. You need to RSVP ASAP though. They only book the room and food based on pre-booking. No walk-ins.

The WWN was kind of dead for most of the year. There's some fresh people on the executive, though, and lots of new ideas about how to keep it interesting.

RSVP to [email protected]

Didn't meet many girls at all at the Dave's get-together.

Does she need to grope you more thoroughly to get your memory going next time? Laughing

Hey, why are you ladies wanting to meet without any guys? I don't understand.. how are you going to, like, have fun or.. I mean, what's the catalyst for interesting conversations?

Oh no.

Well since you apparently must know we talk about all that stuff that makes you guys freak, some that doesn't: menstration (flow), tampax, condoms versus pill, size vs. length, bloating, swimsuits, each other. Men we think are hot and why. Why men do the crazy a$$ shite they do! Why can't men just be normal, husbands, boyfriends. significant others, our jobs, our lives. Politics, religion and we can do all this in comfortable clothes without worrying who is going to write on Dave's that we are a bunch of moo-cows and should be ashamed to be out in the daylight.

That is why "ladies lunch".

Jade....mooooooo!

Who is that? Tarzan? He looks like Harry Connick Jr. Now, if some of y'all show up in a loincloth looking like the above pic, I'm SURE you will be most welcome.

*Edit* OMG- guru, did your post get deleted? WTF just happened? That wasn't in violation of the TOS because there are plenty of bikini clad women as avatars on this goddamned forum!!!!!!!!! Put it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #@!#

Hell, if Cohiba can have his avatar, then I want Tarzan back!

Okay, here it goes again, Peri. Let's see how long it lasts this time. (BTW, I really wasn't making fun of the gathering or the posters on this thread... I mean, if that was a problem.)

The 25th of June, you say? An odd way to commemorate the start of the Korean War.

But hey! Anytime's the right time for Carnivore Station! Very Happy

mmm.... Carnivore Staaaatiooonnnn....! *drool*

So all I have to do is put on the old loincloth, give the veggie diet a day's rest, and I'll be welcomed, Periwinkle?
Me and my giant bone?

Thanks, guru. I just checked the TOS. Looks fine to me... I don't think it's vulgar, obscene, etc., etc.

Um, yeah, I'd say GIANT BONES are welcome Mr. Green

Look at this crap. And you wonder why there is so much white-woman bashing!

I have so many comebacks waiting to spew out ... but I'll be bigger than that.

Breathe, Newbie, breathe. ONE woman has said that she doesn't want to talk to drunk foreign men. That may or may not include you.

Personally, I like Teva sandals and would prefer them to men wearing high-tops or overly-shiny sneakers.
