Gyeongju - Get your history in one small city.
DMZ - Enjoy the only quiet place in south korea.
Gyeongbbuk palace. If you seen this palace, then you've seen most of the palaces in the country.
Insadong and that neat little cafe at the anguk station with the birds and stuff/ |

Yes, but... where should YOU go in Korea before you leave. I thought this was gonna be a wish list instead of recommendations.

 That's so far from the truth it isn't funny. It must only seem like that for a Seoulite.
You should take a couple of days to travel to....
Take trips to the Southeast (Busan doesn't count):
- Geoje
- the islands of Tongyeong
- the trails of Jiri
Trips to the East
- the river rafting of Gangwondo
- the caves of Donghae
- the cliffs of Ulleungdo
I should go before I leave to...
- Hyopjae on Jeju in the summer
- Andong mask dance festival
- Seorak at the changing of the leaves
- the science park in Daejeon |

Oeido Park in the South Sea. Very beautiful, with a ferry ride.
Cycle along the Han River. I did that on my last day and it was one of the most memorable times I had I Korea! Just gorgeous. Bring your camera along if it is a good summer day.
Hang out in Itaewan. I met many cool people (foreigners) there. Slept at their places, drank beer with and I still keep in contact with many. Africans, Russians, Canadians, Philippinos, the world 
Small town Korea. Do you want to be the only foreigner in sight? Visit a small city.
Eat local food - o to an authentic Korean restaurant (or a few) to experience the taste of the country. |

Gyeonggido, satellite communities of the extended pocket suburbs... same thing |

Sorry, I had to laugh, TZ! The first thing you wanna do is to avoid these cliches of modern Korea.

Don't forget those tea plantations in the southwest in the spring.
The bolded responses are exactly what I have left to do.
Also what is the small village known for movie making in the southwest? |
