forced to go to the saunas...

They're nice, and the only rule is-

Bring all of your supplies.
You should clean yourself fully in the showers (shampoo, soap etc.etc.etc.) before going into the hot tubs/steamrooms...

From my experience, where I'm living, (Not Seoul) expect to be stared at the entire time.

Enjoy.

I had my first suana experience a few weeks ago and doubt I will ever try it again. A few of my male university students have been asking me to go to the sauna with them and I have been too scared to go up to now. But I eventually decided to go as it's part of the culture. Well.....we all went in...undressed....showered...went to the different pools....having a pretty cool time except some other middle aged men kept staring at me privates which was kinda unnerving but ignored it. Sometime passes and the manager or owner of the sauna came in and spoke to one of my students and asked him to tell me that I would have to either put on my underwear or leave the sauna.....don't want to cause trouble so I spent the rest of the time in me undies.....

sometimes people may offer to scrub your back. Thats a bit weird, but whatever, it is also weird when the korean woman sitting on the bus offers to hold my bag. But I can dig it!

This might help some who are new to the sauna scene or who are looking for a good one in their area.
