Hello all

Im moving to Daegu at the end of June and my boyfriend would like to join me shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, hes not a native English speaker (native Spanish speaker but fluent in English with a light accent) so his employment opportunities are somewhat limited. However, hes a very experienced rock climber and taught climbing for a brief period in China as well as Mexico, so he was hoping he might be able to find a gig in that field. If anyone knows of any climbing joints (indoor gyms, outdoor trad/sport, whatever) that might be open to hiring a foreigner, Id be forever grateful if youd shoot me the info. Obviously, near Daegu is preferable because he would like to be bunking with me, but other locations could be possible, too.

Also if you happen to know of any openings for Spanish instructors, that would be great, too. Although, Ill probably put that up as a separate post

That is a really cute chupacabra. You wouldn't be a sister of an ex-roomate's girlfriend, would you?

And sorry... no leads on a rock climbing job.

There are two rock gyms in Daegu. Beomu junction area. For outside climbing, Palgongsan has a few courses.

Thanks for the info guys! And if you happen to run across any specific leads, definitely PM me.

DJTwoTone: I dont have any sisters, so Im guessing Im not who you think I am. And what exactly is a chupacabra? Goatsucker? Sounds like an Appalachian porn To the best of my knowledge, thats an aye-aye; a furry little critter from Madagascar.

Hey Wheek,

I don't know of any places that are hiring, but you might be able to strum up some business in the foreigner community for private/group lessons. I know I've been thinking of rock climbing for awhile and would probably be interested in a weekend class of some sort. I'll be in Seoul so I'd have to travel, but that's an idea.
