I have a kindy student who's parents have asked me to recommend some shows she can watch to improve her English. Does anyone have any suggestions? She's a beginner and I don't think she will ever move beyond that stage. So i'm talking basic children's shows. Thanks!

Kids love cartoons and Cartoon Network has cartoons in English.
Also, AFN shows Seasame Street.

When I was doing the same a few years back, my kids all really dug "Dora the Explorer." There's a lot of vocab repetition and reinforcement, and I found them using farirly useful phrases in the classroom that they picked up from the show.

Letty loves Doro!!!

Barney is also cute. You could try Sesame Street, too. These are the cute factors.

Arirang TV has an *ABC Bakery* in the morning at around 7am. That's kinda good except that there is this one fat lady there that sings with too much vibrato.....

There's also this really cute programme that is centred on a lion family. They show it in both English and Korean (different times). I am not sure what it's called but they do it sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon on different channels.

Lemme check tomorrow and get back to you.
