We're heading to philippines from korea in Aug. Korean Air looks good - 682000 won return (Seoul -Manila). I can't find a departure point from Korea on Cebu Airline website. PAL is quoting 1022400 won. Am I missing something?
Thanks for any input. |

My friends went to PHI PHI over christmas and said since the Tsunami the prices have gone sky high and its not worth going. They were really disappointed. |

Boracay is a dive ... it's like the phillipino Disney Land. Over priced, stressed out, and you can get better else where.
Phi Phi was cool last time I was there. Much more of a chilled out, hippie, vibe. Of course that was before all of those people got swept into the sea.
I only got dragged to Boracay by my gf (Korean) because she'd heard so much about it. I knew I'd hate it, and I did. It's basically like every other overcrowded tourist theme park in the world.
I've heard great things about some of the more distant beaches in the Phillipines, but frankly I won't be going back. I don't think I could handle Manila again. At least in thailand you can get pretty much out of Bangkok in the first hour or two if you plan it right.
Go somewhere else in the phillipines, or head to koh toa in thailand ...
Just my 2 cents ... |

Been to both also. There are alot of Koreans in Boracay but they tend to stay together.
Both places are great, Phi Phi is more chilled than Boracay but Boracay is also amazing. I don't think you can make a bad decision. |
