It's so good to hear about someone who is doing well financially after returning home. What kind of work are you doing now? You're not teaching obviously. There's no money in that back home. I know because I have tried.

I really don't want to disappoint you. But I drive a truck for the oilfields in Louisiana. I taught for a few years when I got home, but like you said, there's no money in it.

Cheers to my friend to the south! I didn't realize we Canadians had that much in common with you. Right now it seems like every Canadian guy is heading to Alberta to work on the oil fields. That's where the money seems to be.

It sounds cool. But it ain't.

Once you get the taste of money, there is never enough.

Enjoy your taste of Korea. Get zen with it. Live for the moment.

I enjoy being married, and I love my little boy. But a whole new layer of responsibility gets added to you.

My single goals: Get through a day of work and find a nice place to get drunk.

My married goals: Make as much money as I can. Work my fingers to the bone. Try my best not to die before sixty so I can get my boy through college.

See the difference?

Enjoy yourself, man.

Or...
Single man's question on payday - What am I going to do with this extra thousand bucks?

Married man's question - Where am I going to get an extra thousand bucks? Smile

For all it's worth, I think you're living a truly richer life than me. My cousin is married with two kids. He doesn't have any money, but I think he's very happy. You're truly blessed if you have a nice family.

I'm getting fed up with living in a noisy shoebox-shaped apartment. Gotta get out of Korea one of these days.

But enjoy your time being single.
