Two soldiers were recently kidnapped.

They were tortured, mutilated, and killed. These people even gouged out their eyes.

I think it's time for the United States to stop worrying about what the New York Times and the BBC will say about the country.

Take the gloves off.

Are you Cyndi Lauper or the Clash ?????

Unfortunate, terrible. But who is in whose country? Bombing, shooting, supplying arms, manning road blocks, having created a terrible hell hole?????

I don't think the gloves should come off, I think America should just go home and try to change the world in a more productive and humane fashion...

Personally, I think we need to start killing more people.

In three years the US and Britain have:

Destroyed Falluja
Destroyed most of the infastructure
Used chemical weapons (white phosporus)
Tortured inmates at Abu Graib
Murdered inmates at Abu Graib
Massacared civilians at Haditha
Left radiological waste across the country (DU)
Allowed Al-Qaeda to enter the country and setup shop
Failed to stop the terrorist attacks (which never happened under Saddam)

Since the start of the Iraq war a minimum of 38,475 Iraqi civilians have died. iraqbodycount.net

When the gloves come off will that be carpet bombing the whole of Baghdad and Basra or the dropping of an atomic weapon?

You said it, man. America and the world is better served by looking after its own people first, economy, by keeping those gloves on, and by not marching into countries which have never attacked them.

Well put.

Go put your own ass on the line Otis....if you think you can hack it.

That said it makes me sick to my stomach what those animals did to the soldiers but this shit will never end this route. It'll be like Israel/Palestine all over again - never ending cycles of retaliation. WTF is America doing in Iraq? Isn't Afghanistan where Bin Laden was given sanctuary?

The huge civilian death rate, the beheadings, Abu Ghraib, now this.... Of course it will never end if the status quo is maintained, but hey, at least the world is now a safer place eh? Mad

WHAT ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE DYING AND SUFFERING FOR?

Result of stupidity and a failed policy! Continuining the policy will lead to more atrocities!

It wasn't the result of a failed policy.

It was a result of sickos who took these boys, tortured them, gouged their eyes out, beheaded them, dumped their bodies, and rigged their corpses with booby traps.

This reminds me of those self-righteous, eurotrash anti-American peaceniks who talk about the bombing of Hiroshima as resulting from the bestial savagery of the racist American warmongers. Somehow, the words "Manchuria" and "Pearl Harbour" never enter into the discussion.

Not that I neccessarily support either the bombing of Hiroshima or the gouging out of GIs eyes. Just that there's a little thing called context, which should always be kept in mind when assigning responsibility for historical events.

Explaining away the savagery of Islamo droids is fun. I admire your ability to take up their defense. That's a liberal specialty, defending and or/explain away even the worst of human savagery.

And by the way dude, Zarqawi was from Jordan and the new head of the holy warriors there is from Egypt.

And for all of those with the ability to see through the fog, the day after September 11th, Saddam's dictatorial national TV channels, played celebratory music set against pics of the twin towers crumbling. He paid money to the families of those that blew up Israeli civilians (which included victims from the United States, Thailand, Korea, China, Canada, among many other countries)...

and we were already in a state of suspended warfare with the man.

All of you who still thrash about when discussing the Iraq War, what would you have had us do??????

End the sanctions, allow the lowest of the lowest scumbag French, Russian, and Pakistani businessman to engage in unfettered commerce with a man hellbent on regional (and world) domination????

It's just so tedious to read your incessant whining about America deposing him. And I pray that for ever more, if a dictator of a country offers cash rewards to those who directly target civilians, and who orders his own private national TV network to celebrate for hours the deaths of thousands of Americans,

that we will smite him to kingdom come. Let the Euros coddle them, let the Americans kill them.
