www.fifa.com

Can you access this site?

Word on the street is that they've blocked everyone from Korea.

I brought up the same point. I figured that's what it must be. A mature response from Korea if it's true. Rolling Eyes

Were you accessing it before?

I'd guess it was an earlier marketing move by Yahoo which as an "official partner" is touting its own www.fifaworldcup.com site.

My girlfriend got a kind of spam text last night saying something like if enough people (500000) go to FIFA.com and protest/register or whatever, the Korea Switzerland game can be replayed. This may or may not be a reason.

I can say 100% that it is true. Access is deliberately being denied from Korea. There was just a story about this on the news.

*Sigh *Will Koreans take this the wrong way or the right way? Will they think Fifa is trying to cover up and hide something? I sincerely hope not. Sad

Hard to say. My husband is hardly a representation of Koreans in general, but he thinks it's both amusing and embarrassing.

We wouldn't have this problem if parents restricted their childrens' Internet usage.
