Im considering going to Boracay in August on a package tour.
Since it is the cheapest and easiest way.
Could someone recommend a good travel agency to use.
Especially one that will leave me alone once Im there.

Did you mean travel agency or tour group? They are not the same.

There are 3 or 4 packages to Boracay. Hanna tour, Mode tour, Lotte tour all offer packages.

When you get there, just ignore the tour guide and enjoy your time on the beach. Make sure you know when and where your flight back to Manila is from so you don't miss it.

I was unaware of that. I suppose I mean tour group. How are the packages different other than length of stay?

Thank you for your help.

Any KOREAN travel agent can get you on an escorted package to Boracay. The only real differences in packages are the hotels offered. They will all be competitively priced against each other. The advantage is that it will he hassle-free and virtually all-inclusive. Meet the tourguide at the airport and enjoy the trip.

Alternatively you can book your own flight from here to Manila and once you get there (Manila) buy a ticket at the counter from SEAair or Asian Spirit from Manila to Caticlan. Prices run from 50,000 won (one way).

Take the flight to Caticlan. Get off the plane. Grab a trike from the airport to the pier. Cost is about 20 pesos and takes about 2 minutes. At the pier go into the terminal and a boat ride to Boracay is 50 pesos (1000 won). Boats leave every 20-30 minutes and the ride takes about 20 minutes.

Get off the boat and walk down the beach. It is OFF-SEASON there so there will be lots of hotels at very reasonable prices. Low end is about 800 pesos (16,000 won) per night and high end is around 100,000won.

Look at the room before you register.

Did that answer your question?

also make sure to check out the ambience in the day time. I'm in Boracay now staying at a place I recommended on here but the construction that starts at 8am is driving me bonkers. Tons of places are doing construction or have their neighbors doing construiction from now till novemeber, be warned
