Whats the deal with them? Do you do something special or do you stick to your normal lesson style?
I think ive fallen out with my co teacher because I wanted to do a standard lesson. Normally she is happy with this (we adapt the textbook material and expand it) but now she wont tell me what shed like to do.Our normally good relationship has dissapeared over this. |

I did a normal lesson and my co-teacher and school were happy with that. I just made a well structured communication lesson that wasn't technology heavy. However, the evaluators don't really want that. I've had the opportunity to watch many demo lessons and it seems that the evaluators would prefer a shitty lesson with a lot of technology. |

I comprimised in the end and did my part of the lesson my way and her part her way. I did have to fight not to do the 'dog and pony show' class, and my evaulation wasn't bad so I'm glad I stuck to my guns. |

I did a normal lesson with extra audio video touches. I was informed that it was too easy for the students (3rd grade high school), even though over half of them were still making mistakes after practicing it several times before the class.
I was also told by the gyeonggi education office official that they want to see a show, not a normal lesson. They want an ideal lesson with all new technological equipment used.
A bunch of b.s. if you ask me. All of this doesn't do any good. They should just drop in unannounced and watch a class, then they will get a true feel of what is happening in thier schools. |

I haven't been asked to do a demo class yet and I hope that keeps up. I can anticipate a big disagreement with the KTs. There's no way I'm going to do a rehearsed lesson, and I'd go so far as to come up with a unique lesson and do it on the spot if a rehearsal was what they insisted on. Fortunately the few times that big-wigs have dropped by a part of my lesson my students have been fantastic. |

For phonics I teach the same material to classes of all levels, as even my best students need work on pronunciation (though in my higher-level classes I get the students to make sentences out of the words we've covered). Otherwise I use a lot of the same materials and themes, but try to tailor material to each class. I'm still on a learning curve re: what's best for each class, but am getting better at keeping the brighter students challenged while not going too far over the weaker students' heads. |

I use the same lessons for my classes. Some classes I have once a week, while others twice a week. Some classes (especially friday classes) seem to get cancelled often, so they are the furthest behind. I try to keep them as close together. So I prep one lesson and teach it to the 12 different classes I have. At most I will create two lessons in one week. |
