Yes, England did lose, but weren't you prognosticating that Brasil would smash all opposition?
I'm a Brasil fan myself, but I stop short of deifying them.
Namaste. |

What do I care?
I'm American.
I'm just glad England lost so I can make fun of Spinoza and his buddies.
Trust me. I'm not shedding tears over the loss of Brazil.
New question!
How many English yobs will be arrested and deported after the riots? |

| At least we made it into the final eight. The other twenty four teams didn't. Owen Hargreaves is a legend with the amount of effort he put in. Should be knighted. |

Otis,
What would you rather do - lose to Portugal in a football match, or lose to Vietnam in a war? Blimey, it's a tough choice. |

| We did not show enough to justify progression. We were poor when it counted, i have no frustration at the portugal win. |

Just look how beautiful David Beckham is:
With players like that, how could you possibly lose? |

Damn, that hurts, worldwide...
Spinoza, well, that's just pathetic, but I can understand how you must feel so proud of the homeland that you've left behind because of the all extremely homely women who still wouldn't give you the time of day.

What would you rather do: lose to portugal ia a football match; or in a more recent war, have your country be George W. Bush's sycophantic, lap dog beatch. Bush say jump, and Britain says how high sir.
Oh i guess its not much of a choice. You have them both. |

This really is a useless thread. I would hope it would get deleted. There are other perfectly good threads Otis can be obnoxious on.
Good for Portugal anyway. Good for France. |

25 so far.
LONDON, July 1 (Reuters) - Riot police on the British island of Jersey arrested 25 people in the capital St. Helier following violence after Portugal put England out of the World Cup on penalties on Saturday.
Trouble broke out on the normally tranquil island at 7.30 pm (1830 GMT) when police went to separate groups of rival supporters after the match and came under attack from a group of about 150 England supporters throwing bottles.

Only 25?
Finally we've got the hooligans off the streets - and on to the pitch! |
