I have my eye on a beautiful 750cc military issue sidecar WW2 BMW knockoff from a factory in China. It's an authorized copy and legit, the cost is reasonable but I'm not sure where I'd even start to find out about importing it to Korea. Can someone give me a hint?!?

Probably the best bet is too talk to a dealer of imported cars or bikes. Me, I'd go to China, buy it, ride it for a month and then stick it on a ferry and bring it back with me. It would be a blast. Smile

www.cj750.cn

I know a guy working in China at an international school where the pay is akin to Korea's here. He says these bikes are popular with teachers who get them shipped back to Canada, U.S., wherever their home is.

Actually, I e-mailed the factory rep and they want between US$3-4k. That's the foreigner price. There's a guy on e-Bay who is reputable and charges between US$1.5-$2k--that's the Chinese price. If you contact him, he'd get back to you and ask what you want. Even at $2k, he's making money and it's a good deal for non-Chinese.

You can order parts from the same source. You can probably rig some up, too if necessary. You can also get them on eBay.
