What makes the Chinese signs impossible to even suspend belief about (or even use in a fun way with friends) is the absurd fact that nearly EVERYBODY I went to grade school with has the same sign (Feb 17, 1969 to Feb 5, 1970) and yet there are such diverse personalities in one's class................................................
I just don't get how any use, even just for fun, could be gotten out of the Chinese signs, unless it's only used intergenerationally well away from ones early peers.

While in Seogwipo, I had a class that by coincidence (or perhaps the manipulation of the director) was made up entirely of 12 year old girls....12 by western age. I normally get along much better with the younger ones, so I was suprised at how quickly we all bonded and how close we got. That class was a lot of fun to teach and they were always laughing, cracking jokes, and teasing each other and me. One day, we were talking about the Chinese signs and I asked them what sign they were. They said, "tiger". I'm a tiger. I've always wondered if that was why we all clicked to well. I also had classes mainly made up of 11 year olds, 13 year olds, etc. Never had that same rapport as that one class of 12 year olds. Erie.

Dudes.

I'm like the 4th or 5th metal dog on here. I am assuming we are all 1970 and not 1910? We should form a rock band or something...we just need to come up with a name that shows that we are true heavy metal beasts!!!

Any thoughts?

And maybe we can get Michael Jackson to do some guest vocals or something...

Question

From the site:

Quote:
Famous Dog People: Chiang Chin-Kuo, Zhou En-Lai, Lee Teng-Hui, Benjamin Franklin, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley,Jacques Cousteau, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Yitzhak Rabin, Golda Meir, Mother Teresa, Jane Goodall, Prime Minister Jean Chrtien

And I like Blacksmithbeotches. Nice ring to it. But how in the world did you come up with "MetalDogs"? That's just ridiculous. Rolling Eyes
