I've experienced this too. Suddenly I saw the tendrils reaching from the green watermelon looking thing someone had set beside my bed and, summoning all my will, raised a finger to ward off the first, creeping filament and wrenched myself off the bed. Just kidding, that's 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'.
But seriously. I was alone at the time on a meditation retreat. In that sort of situation very aware of the conscious, subconscious, and lingering in the between, able to see more of the transition there. So it was between napping/sleeping and being awake that I 'saw' or 'caught' the being that had a grey sort of lamprey-ness about it, something parasitic. And, being that, dependent on not being recognized, like a cockroach avoids the light, it was wily. It was a sentient being, like a demon or a lower level sort of entity that fed on psychic energy. Maybe it lives in another dimension, the mind has many dimensions. We encounter sleep, half-asleep, alpha, beta, so on. The mind is part of the entire known universe. So, being in contact, it's vulnerable to parasites, if that's what it was.
So I suddenly recognized this grey thing and felt it realize it had been perceived. It's attitude was snide. |

The problem when you start talking about meditation and/or drugs helping you see "the other side" is that both things can bring you to a state more susceptible to hallucination. It must be rationalized that either "the other side" refuses to make itself known until we are inebriated or there is no other side at all. That might be a false dilemma, but I think other options would be less pertinent.
If there were some other side, full of ghosts and spirits that have attitudes, it would be testable. Fully conscious, coherent, rational scientists would be able to induce the spirits to reveal themselves, and thenceforth observe, measure, test, etc.
Of course, I say all this with the realization that my entire life could just be part of someone's dream. |

Does this qualify under the Rorshats-Blatts (sic) test as

So what common nightmares do you have then? Any weird dreams?
A common nightmare I have is being chased by something or someone. In one of these dreams I was in a concentration camp and Chinese Soldiers were after me. I was chased and then I turn the corner around a building and there is a mob of soldiers with machine guns. I see the machine gun blasts then I wake up.
Of course as soon as Rteacher posts something everyone must go off calling him a loon and so on. If your gonna insult the guy at least put a story in there relating to the topic of discussion. |

| It was about ten years ago, my experience along the lines of the grey, resting on one's chest parasite thing/dream. So I didn't recount the signal that alerted me to something odd going on. It was the sound of boots clomping authoritively across a hardwood floor. I was dreaming and that sound, the approaching clomp clomp, woke me up like whoah, what's that coming down the road? And then I was aware of this grey, snide, confident sort of parasite entity that had slipped up by being so confident as to be clomping around, striding toward me. That was my only busting of the grey transgressor. The only time I encountered or was aware of it. |

Going back a bit, Vedic knowledge is perfect ...?!
Krishna-teacher, I don't mean to stalk you on the forums, but I have to take issue with some of your more idiotic remarks. Such as the last, which I have semi-quoted.
I'm wondering if you could use some help. Professional help, I mean. I am of the opinion that you could use some lose-the-cult, de-programming assistance here. |

What's that cooking in the microwave? ...
This picture was taken on mothers day 2006. It was in a motel in susanville,ca. The face appears behind me,but what i find strange is, it is on the microwave. I have only heard of faces appearing in tv's and computers. I've been looking at this picture for a couple of weeks now and cant figure it out. I would like to focus in on just the face but when its blown up it gets blured. It is of nobody in the room with us. its very interesting to me. I would like to be able to focus in on this picture but i cant seem to do it. maybe someone out there can...

| H.P. Lovecraft. That stuff rocks. His writing is full of the spooky entities mentioned here. One story is called 'The Mind Parasites'. Colin Wilson novel, too. They come from an ancient ruin, were once an ancient culture, around the fertile crescent/Middle East. Didn't have bodies but made a captive population build a monumental city. |

Fonz,
When I was about fifteen, I took a nap in the afternoon. After sleeping for some time, I beleive I woke up. I stayed on the bed however and suddenly felt a buzzing sound in my ears. Kind of a static sound like when the TV is on a channel with no reception. I felt that kind of static behind my eyes too. I could feel the static shrinking into a tiny black hole and something told me that I had to keep the static bigger than the blackness. I had a feeling that if the whole picture turned black, then I would be dead. So I focused on maintaining the static. Once I had achieved that, I became less scared and wondered what was happening to me. I tried to move my arms and legs off the bed and beleived that I had done so slightly. I remember thinking I should masturbate, but I couldn't move my hands that well, so I just remained there. After a while, I slipped out of this state and woke up. For a while, I just sat on the bed wondering what the hell had just happened. I tried to make it happen again and I couldn't. I told my mom about it, but she said I was probably just dreaming. I thought about this for a long time and I guess the reason why I kept trying to replicate the experience each night, was because I felt so relaxed and peaceful after.
Years went by before it suddenly happened again. Once again, it was during an afternoon nap. I was now probably about 19. The next time it happened was nearly ten years after that. Each time however, I enjoyed it less. The static seemed to shrink and the blackness was stronger and it just scared me that I was losing control and couldn't let that black take over. I almost think that the static represented my vital signs and that I was in some deep trance or meditative state and felt that any more of it would shut my vital signs down entirely. I knew a guy who said that some meditating monks can actually stop their own hearts briefly during meditation. Who knows if this is true or not.
Weird stuff, but yes, some of us know what you mean. It's a very interesting topic. |

Well it all started about 8 months ago. I had been drinking the night before and instead of waking up I was in a halfway sleep. I was aware of all my surroundings but couldnt move or speak. At that moment a black looking being with grey eyes and a grey mouth tried to attach its mouth to my face. I fought it for a couple of seconds and then I woke up. I was freaked out. What the hell was that? Was it real or just a dream? It seemed real, but then again I could of been hallucinating or something.

This spirit sounds like a familiar spirit. Most of the time Familiar spirits will try to stay out of your way and try to make itself unknown to you. Usually, it will manifest by bringing bad luck into your life and not by revealing itself in visions or dreams. It does this because that's the strategy of the darkness. Easier if you don't believe.
http://www.gotquestions.org/familiar-spirits.html
However, I think you said that your parents are praying for you, right? Well, whether you want to believe this or not, there is a battle for your soul. Kind of like the matrix. What pill do you want? The red one or the blue one. Do you want reality or do you like the illusion of what this world tells you? You have gotten a glimpse of the spiritual world, but the rabbit hole has no end. How far do you want to go?

| A couple of days later, I was having a dream, but then I become conscious of my surroundings and I was floating around my bed. Again I woke up thinking about how bizarre the experiance was. |
We are spirit, soul and body. The spirit and the soul are able to leave the body and move outside of the body. You had an out of body experience.

| A week or so after the first incident, I woke up and in the paralyzed state noticed a black blob coming at me surrounding me. I eventually woke up. |
This reminds me of the movie Ghost with Patrick Swazee and Demi. Ever see that movie? I don't know what this could be, but I would think that's its confusion. Probably for your destiny. The first spirit is trying to rob you and take away your strength to fight the confusion. And that's why you are fighting the first one off, because you know deep down that you are in a fight. You can't really see it, because you need the light of righeousness.

| Another dream I die and transcend to heaven. There were clouds and harps and all that stuff. I was excited because I was in heaven. And I said I am in Heaven!! Then a dark, demonic voice laughed and said, Just Kidding. Then everything turned red as blood. Fire was everywhere and the skin was melted off of all the Angels as they became Demonic creatures. |
Ties in with the other dreams. You probably believe that you are going to heaven right, because you are a good person and so on. Well, that's the illusion of the matrix. There is only one way into Heaven. Like I have previously said, the strategy of hell is to make people believe that being good gets you a pass into heaven.
BTW, there is a prophetic call of God on your life. Not everyone is gifted in the ability to see dreams or visions. It's a high calling. |

Some people are open, some aren't...
I'm a firm believer that if you have a small mind there is no room for this kind of discussion. Hell, they wouldn't even bother with you, no room for them (much less anything else).
I think Rteacher has a lot of good points. Plus a lot of it is, are you open, with a big mind? If you'ren stupid, it's just nonsense or a whacky dream; and you don't deserve the contacts anyway. to meet with something beyond this particular plane of existence is really cool..... |

Historical consistency of what we see in this state is a little scary. Anyway, I've never seen anything.
What i do sometimes experience in a half awake/half asleep state is the sense that the covers are over my head and I don't have enough air. So I feel like if I don't force my oxygen deprived body to move and wake itself up then Ill suffocate. I feel like I have to call on my last reserves of energy to fight my blankets off and take in a deep breath. Im happy i haven't seen this thing. But I donj't have male dna.
You guys ever hear about that theory that were all having a virtual dream ( kid of like the matrix) in some alien spaceship? That half-asleep state or visions of grey creatures out of the corners of our eyes are glimpses of reality before our caretakers can fix the technical glitch. I really, really hope thats not true. Row, row, row your boat is not my cup of tea. |

Wow, I can't believe so many other people have experienced this same phenomenon!
It's been a while since i've experienced it, buy mine mostly occured during a summer where I was smoking a lot of weed and also had two extremely powerful mushroom trips.
However, I never experienced any of these deamons. It was strange and all, but nothing demonic and defenitely no creppy old ladies.
I would usually just start breathing heavily in order to fully awaken. But sometimes I would try and concentrate and my mind really drifted.
On one occasion, for some reason I decided to think about the name Yahweh and a feeling of bliss overtook my body and I felt like I was floating.
But then I got scared and breathed my way out of it.
I'm still curious to this day to see if I really concentrated, how far my subconscious would take me.
RTeacher, if possible I would like to know how you would interpret my experience. Especially since I never felt the presence of ghosts or demons. |
