thanks RT...
I became a strat man after a terrible, terrible stint being dragged by my "real friend" to "The Bu" (Club Malibu? You remember that purgatorial nightmare?) I became so much happier at the strat...even got a song about it.
MBS....yeah, I saw them up at North Country Fair back in 2001 when I played there. Fan-damn tastic band...no *beep* doubt.
thanks for the pics RT. I have never seen that baseball bat though...where is it?
|
They built the bat up on the north side, somewhere around 118th Ave I think. By the way, none of those pictures are mine. I would never photograph that thing, unless it was a picture of Ralph being sodomised by it.
I hear MBS has gone rockabilly now. To be honest, the Operators eventually kicked their ass at the ska.
Yeah, Club Malibu eventually became the Armoury. All those clubs around Whyte sucked and dragged such an awful element of people out there. I personally never set foot in any of them. |

A view of downtown from the Red River.
I saw northern lights like this the summer before I came to Korea. I had to light a blunt to that. It was incredible!

| You know, after viewing the pictures in this thread, Canadia doesn't seem as dreary and bleak as I'd imagined. Why the acute lack of snow? All these pictures taken on that day in July? |

| After seeing all the pictures of the US, it doesn't look quite so happening and metropolitan. Parts of it look downright old-fashioned. |

What, did you take this page out of Roch's make-up-ridiculuously-sordid-stories-and-post-them-like-they're-for-real handbook? Those are your students, eh? That's why the most convenient place you could find to take an uncomfortable photo was on a busy city street? Haha!
What city is it? I have no idea. Maybe New York? No, not New York... post a couple more hint pictures!
K-in-C: this is what you do.
1. Go to Google.com
2. Click on "images"
3. Type the name of your city, including state (ex: tampa, fl)
3a. Alternatively, you can type names of key roads and/or land marks
4. Click on the pictures you like
5. After clicking on the picture, click on the picture again at the page it takes you to
6. click on the address bar
7. the address should be all in blue; at that point, right-click and "copy"
8. click over to your post window for Dave's esl cafe
9. right-click and paste
10. highlight the address you just pasted, and click on the "Img" button
That's about all there is to it. Just make sure the address you're linking to ends in .jpg or .gif, possibly .tif. |

Edinburgh, Scotland.
The fireworks are at hogmanay (what we call new year in Scotland). It's a huge event and people come from all over to see the fireworks burst over the castle. The fireworks are set to music. It was such a popular event that people got crushed, so now it is a ticketed event.
The castle. It's in the middle of our city. Their is a large park below the castle. It used to be filled with water and they would drown suspected witches there.
This is the old town. It's old. It's got so many winding passges and narrow alleys. You have to turn side ways to get through them. It was great fun running through them and chasing friends when I was a wee lad. The mountain in the back ground is Arthur Seat. It's an extinct volcano.
More old stuff
This is the main shopping area in Edinburgh - Princes Street. The crane is believe to date back to the early 1200's
