I have a strong preference for "Old Macdonald had a Farm".

Not suitable for schools (I don't think so, but you may differ), but try burping the word "bollocks". For maximum effect it has to be a looooong, loud, drawn-out kind of burp..... never fails to make me laugh tho! Razz

"...throw me a bone, here, poet. How did you express to the kids the process needed to burp?"

So what I told them was, "its like snorting back a big booger without swallowing, except that instead of snorting back with your nose, do it lower in the back of your mouth. You will feel like you have a bubble in the top of your throat. Push that bubble out like you're trying to puke."

My son thanks you as now he will learn two skills he's been pining to know.

Thanks for the instruction.

Forward to a night a few weeks into August, family sitting around the dinner table. Son burps his name with pride, Mom asked where he learned that, I get the credit. A good chuckle had by all. Daughter burps her Grade/class/student number. A good chuckle had by 3 of us, a half chuckle from Mom. My son 'snorts back a big booger' and hawks it in the sink...Two distinct chuckles, one attempt at a stern look (but really holding back a chuckle) and one expression indicating to me that perhaps I should have talked about the etiquette of burping and hawking in addition to the mechanics.

May need to set up a detailed lesson plan for this.

Thanks, poet.
