Discount during peak summer season?? Isn't that an oxymoron?
Try Thai Orchid, or Royal Thai. They are usually reasonable. |

Korea's airline ticket system sucks dogs balls. Also I suspect the regulations behind landing rights etc. are probably heavily weighted towards KAL and Asiana. Which means sucky deals for outbound travellers. |

Try kangsan travel, but Korea is notorious for ridiculously priced flights.
I don't know their website, but google it. |

The irony is that a lot of people work in Korea so they can travel in Asia but a ticket from Seoul to Bangkok costs about 250 GBP compared to 350 GBP from London to Bangkok! Not a big difference. |

If you can get a cheap flight to Macau you can connect with Air Asia (airasia.com) and fly into Bangkok for 60-80,000 won taxes included. No visa required if you want to stop over and check out the casinos.
There are other routes through China using Air Asia and Tigerairways (tigerairways.com) that are super cheap. For most places you would not need a visa as a transit passenger. But China is, well you know China so I dont know. I have never looked into it.
Take care. |

Especially to Tokyo. The 90 minute flight is at least 500,000 won round trip no matter when you buy it. That's (50,000W ~ 100,000W) more expensive than the Japanese pay for the same route. I compared prices with some Japanese travelers on a flight last year. I don't know who is responsible for this.
Maybe it's a plot to keep traveling to Japan unaffordable. |

Hee hee. Maybe if flights were more affordable, more Koreans would travel. If more Koreans traveled they'd get a betterappreciation of the outside world . If they did that maybe......naw.
Damn Korea and there perpetual peak season. |

Sorry, but I disagree that a roundtrip ticket from Seoul to Tokyo is that pricey. The prices I've seen are 250,000 won on the low end and 300,000 to 320,000 on the higher end, though I'm not sure how much the fare goes up in summer. Maybe YOU paid that much, but that doesn't mean others have. |

You've SEEN these prices, but can you actually get them? Most of these great specials that travel agents quote in ads have a ton of crazy restrictions like you have to travel between Monday and Thursday or the quantity of tickets is so few that you have to be one of the first few customers to get them.
I've asked for prices to Tokyo from very popular discount travel agents like Xanadu and Kangsan travel. I've never been offered a price under 440,000 won in fact. Please also don't confuse Tokyo tickets with Osaka and Fukuoka which do sell for much cheaper.
If you can actually get the prices you are quoting here (anytime of the year), please light the way for us at Dave's. Yes, maybe I am not a good bargain hunter. But from my research, I have big doubts about getting tickets to Tokyo for the prices you quote here. |

No tickets under 900,000+ 100,000 tax, to Thailand thru aug. 6th. Have been trying all day Friday with all of the above mentioned places and then some. So settled on a ridiculously priced flight to HCMC, vietnam for 770.
When the hell is high season anyway? Every teaching holiday period is the high season I reckon... |

Too bad you already bought the ticket to HCMC. Can you refund it? I just found tix to Thailand for 650,000 ~ 700,000W. Buy them online at Asiana's website. I always check their site when I need tickets for Asia. Occaisionally they're CHEAPER than the agencies. www.flyasiana.com |
