I think it's pouring everywhere in Korea right now. Here in Incheon it's raining cats and dogs. Ok...not literally! |

It's about time someplace other than my neighborhood got all the rain. Woke up to blue skies this morning and it's noon now...some clouds but still a few patches of blue.
Checked out the Naktangkang yesterday and it's finally back in its banks.
So keep your lousy rain up there. |

8 am yesterday the drain on my verandah that funnels rain from the roof of my villa (funky old plumbing) got plugged & my verandah quickly filled with a foot of water that overspilled into my bedroom & kitchen, inches deep. I had no idea -- I was in my livingroom where it hadnt gotten yet & my cat alerted me.
I got the drain open to stop new water but god what a mess. Apt manager who lives downstairs (nice woman) comes banging on my door. Waterfall in the stairway! Together we bailed for an hour & got it mostly mopped up. In the midst of that, a fiercesome crack of thunder (flash-bang!) knocks out the power.
Sodden bedding, some small appliances destroyed. Had to take up the flooring & had the ondol on full blast all day to dry out the concrete (jjimjilbang!) & I've been drying out the wallpaper with my hairdryer (which somehow survived being immersed) before I move the furniture back.
Fun. |

We had an appointment at a photostudio this morning to get some baby pictures taken. We hopped in the car and about 5 minutes from the studio the road was closed due to flooding. This was in the MokDong area.
Yeah it's raining alot. |

It's a great day for me to entirely run out of food. But I guess as it's rained every day for weeks, chances were I was going to have to trek to the supermarkt in the rain.
What's the point in summer if you can't even go outside?! I miss Australia. |

Paris Baguette on the ground floor baby! Woo-hoo.
Also, my perfectly legal extra lessons cancelled today and I always have an agreement with my students that cancellations must still be paid.
It's a beautiful day! Yeah! Woo-hoo!
*beep*, I'm bored. |

We've had no rain for three days but for one brief five-minute downpour on Friday. I decided not to go to the mud festival because of the predicted rain.
It's been seriously strange.
Typhoon: no rain.
Typhoon passes: heavy rain.
Heavy rain forecast for all weekend: nary a drop.
Wind is kicking up now, though. |

No apologies necessary. I had to laugh too, despite seriously just wanting to finish my morning coffee. Nobody got electrocuted! |
