I need to wire some money out of the country Monday, but, as it's some kind of holiday, I'm assuming the banks won't be open. Are there any alternatives available? If not, I'd just like to convert the money into dollars on that day. Once again, I doubt the banks will be open - but does anyone know a reputable money changer that offers a good rate and might be open on a holiday? I've put myself in a fairly awkward position, mostly because of my own procrastination and ignorance. Hoping someone can help me out.

I see planning ahead is not a specific Korea-only challenge.

I believe you can transfer money through Western Union online, but I guess you would have to register etc.

I'm sure the money changers in Itaewon will be working tomorrow. Also there are the grandmothers at Namdaemun who are always trying to change people's money - just walk around the market and they will tug in your clothes soon enough.
