| Let's say that you're out with your girlfriend on your one-month anniversary (gag, puke) and you want to ask the bartender to play a song request, because your girl likes it and it's your special day, etc. What should you say? |

Yes, it's very natural to use 신청 in that situation and it's polite too. Adding 혹시 makes it even more polite. 신청하다 means "to apply" but Koreans use it when requesting songs. |
