I have my computer in my bedroom with speakers and a subwoofer, but I want to set up another set of speakers in my living room (connected to my computer).
What do I need to do this? Also, is it possible to have my tv hooked up to the speakers as well? Do I just need a receiver for this? If so, how do I connect the computer to the receiver?
Thanks....I just have no clue where to begin for this....But I've seen bars playing their laptops through the bar's speakers, so I figure it's not that tough.... |

The easiest solution would be an audio splitter switch box type thing (can't remember exactly what they are called but they are easy to find and use). Basically it's a little box where the inputs come in one end and the outputs come out the other with a switch on it somewhere allowing you to switch between the different combinations.
So in your case you would have two inputs: One from the computer and one from the TV. You would also have two outputs: one to the sub and speakers and one to the speakers in your other room. The switch will let you choose which input and output. Should be easy enough to find and fairly cheap. |
