I'd go to Borneo, but I'm guessing you want to stick to the mainland.....

If you like islands and beaches: Seribuat Archipelago, Pulau Tioman, Pulau Perhentian, and Pulau Langkawi.
If you like trekking: Taman Negara.
If you like culture: Khota Bharu, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, and Melaka.

Cost are around US$5 for a guesthouse room, US$3 for a good meal, transportaion is cheap (even internal flights!) and honest. All taxis are metered.
Alcohol is more expensive: beers around US$2-US$4 a can.

From what I've been told by friends they've said..... The must dos on the trip are

Taram Negara
Cameron Highlands
Perhentian Basil (Nicest Beach on earth as they said)

Then I've heard about other places like Penang and Malaka...

Is 2 weeks enough to see Tara, Cameron and Perhatian?
