Anyone worked/working for YBM ELS Chongo in Seoul? Hopefully you have some good things to say about it? I've already signed my contract, so it's kinda late if the school sucks, but I thought I'd ask! |

I applied for a job with YBM, but withdrew my application after I heard more about them. What I heard, I did not like. I was looking to teach adults, but after I did more research, I found that this was not what I wanted. However, there are others that say they like working for YBM. I know that searches on Dave's ESL are slow, but here's some helpful thinks for ya.
Of course, every school isn't the same, so I really hope you find someone to talk to from your exact school. You should have gotten the contact number or email from a present teacher there, and grill them!!!

I never worked at the Chongno location but I did work at two other locations in Seoul. I found that it really depended on the foreign Academic Director--if he/she was good, then it was a good experience. They never paid late and I never felt like I was getting screwed, a common complaint with hogwons. Of course, that was over 10 years ago and things change. |
