Hey guys,

Well, I've been here for about four months now, and I have only met 1 other expat that lives here. I know there are three or four other schools here, but I have yet to tap into the social scene or the hangouts. For some reason(s), the other folks on the island have been told to stay away form us (teachers working at a particular school here). Seeing as how I am the only social one at my school, it does not make for a good time.

So, if anyone has the low down on the hangouts, or the get togethers, please let me know.

Thanks,

DMBFAN

i'm assuming you mean airport island shindoshi, right? well i have been here about 3 months, same situation. actually i had a couple colleagues to hang out with but they're gone now. i heard the same thing about other schools being told to stay away. it's not all schools, though. i've never been told that, and it seems you haven't either.

anyway i'll pm you my phone number.

Alright. I'll hollar at you when I am over being sick.

By the way, is there an offical watering hole here? Most of the bars suck here, but there has to be ONE place that is ok. Loss Time is getting old..............

not that i know of! usually went to hiddink when i had colleagues to go with, have seen other teachers (from the school up on the mountain, i think - i don't know them but the guy who was here when i came knew one or two, i think) in there a few times. i prefer it to loss time, but i've only been to loss time once.

now, i'll usually go to titan, z3 or o bar if i feel like a drink. friendly staff, nice c o c k tails!

yeah, I hear ya.

Those kinds of place, to me, just flat out suck and look all the same. What this place needs is a good Irish Pub, with poker night, dart competitoins, a good pool table, good music, good pub grub, and GUINESS ON TAP! AND..........Korean bar staff don't try to rip you off. Ya know? A hang out the teachers and foreigners could call their own. I mean, it would be a good location for pub like that.

......sort of like O'briens, down in Changwon? Anyone ever head of that place........top notch.
