I like all kinds of cheese, especially European ones like gouda, Italian parmesan, camembert etc... Cheddar is all right. I also am a big fan of Feta goat or sheep cheese. I haven't seen any of that around here whether it is Greek, French, or Bulgarian Feta cheese. I did see feta, but it is from cow's milk. I am looking for any kind of goat cheese, in general. I wouldn't expect to find a Greek, Turkish, or Mediterrannean store in Seoul. It would be awesome if I could find one, because they would stock stuff like that. But if anyone has any idea where someone can find stuff like that, let me know. I did look around. I went to Carrefour, looked in E-Mart, and Costco. I didn't find what I was looking for yet.... Are there any other people on the board who looked for that stuff?

Don't be so sure.

Pasha(Turkish restaurant) in Gangnam didn't even have hummus.

The French enclave in Sorae? in Seocho has 5,000 or so french.Accordingly there ought to be a French store with a good stock of cheese nearby.

Anyone know at all?

costco carries Feta...look around its there(the Yangjae store seems to have the best selection of cheeses)

I used to buy a couple of different cheeses in Shinsegae mall, under the bus terminal. The cheeses and wines used to be right in front of the Starbucks there......a couple of Bries and Camemberts, and I believe even blue cheese once!!!!! Make sure you get some real bread though, not that sweetened crap that pass for baguettes!

Although expensive, the Hyatt Hotel in Seoul has a nice deli with a selection of spices, cheeses, salami, wine, etc. In Busan, several of the large, 5-star hotel also have small deli/shops geared to European/Western tastes.

Give it a try. Also, I know that a few years ago, Jell Deli discontinued the deli and was focussing exclusively on wines but that could have changed.

Hannam Market has cheeses. Hasn't this been said 1,000 times?

If you go up to the Chinese Embassy from Myeongdong, up the hill on the right side of the big Chinese restaurant across from the Migliore area of Myeongdong station, about halfway there ( a few hundred meters?) you will see a small craphole unaffiliated (with Crown Bakery, Tous le jours or any of those sugar bread dives) bakery that makes loaves of Italian style bread.

I'd say it's about the best bread I've had in Korea...
