| Sympathy for Mr Vengeance was okay. I liked it had a Bae Doona nude scene. I saw it at the Seattle Film fest and actually talked to the director. I asked him about his casting of Bae Doo Na as a heavy. |

PS: OLDBOY. |
I love old boy. But then again Im drawn to gritty stuff, be it film or photography. Pictures (which is what film is anyway) that give a sense of doom, sadness, paranoia, or just plain insanity are the type of work I really like. Old Boy was probably one of the top 5 films Ive ever seen. |

Now it was a long time ago. Basically my question sort of predicted the answer. Bae always plays these nice waif girl roles... kind of the Korean Winona Ryder and he really wanted to extend her acting a bit.
There's another Bae movie where you get to see her hooters too. But it's pretty hard to find. |

Okay, what in the hell is a sandwich b*tch.
Winona Ryder indeed. I looked up pics of her on google last night out of curiosity and noticed that. |

A sandwich b*tch is what bae doona is. A b*tch who stuffed hereself full of sandwiches while extras on her set got nothing. I will forever hate that *beep* with a vengence. |

I don't rely on her for a source of food. I just like her face and fun pillows. |

Wow..tough one Tiberious.
I like them both the same but for different reasons.
Both movies follow the same theme (vengeance) but from completely different angles.
Sympathy for Mr Vengeance was hard and makes you question yourself...what would have done in that situation?
Oldboy...knocks you off your seat and leaves you grasping for understanding for most of the movie. You feel sympathy for the guy who is trapped in a hotel room and when you realize the lenght of the vengeance you cannot but cringe.
Both excellent flicks.
Lady vengeance on the other hand was esthetically pleasing, beautifully shot but in the end not as well made as the previous two. The story was not as riveting and the characters not as well developed. I did like the end when the parents have to choose. As a parent it does make you wonder what choice would you have made....
This director sure knows how to pull the strings.... |

sounds strange but it reminded me of John Q (denzel washington) in that sense.
