Hogwanreport.com is broken at the moment - it's serverside, so don't worry about your machine.

I have no idea about the School of Tomorrow except to add that it's a pretty cool name that puts me in mind of Superman's Fortress of Solitude.

Look better on the resume than Ding Ding Dong Dang (or whatever it's called)! Laughing

I too am wondering about SOT (School of Tomorrow) in the Kangnam area. Specifically Banpo, Seocho-Gu Branch. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a post about a School of Tomorrow hagwon:

It is not about the Banpo branch but it may or may not give you some idea of how the franchise is run in general and the kinds of problems that this chain faces across the board. Ask for the EMail addresses of the other foreign teachers at the institute and ask them what its like. Ask many questions, seek many opinions, then, finally, trust your own instincts.

BEWARE NOWON SOT

This school has come under new management and frankly they do not know what they are doing. They have written threatening letters to the teachers who have tried to voluntarily resign saying that they must pay for airfare and damages and they will not be receiving a letter of release. Our contract states that if we give 50 days notice that we WILL recieve a letter of release, and we will not be charged any fees for finding a new teacher (as they have ample time to do so.) I know that they have a hard time communicating in English, but I feel it is their responsibility to know what the contract says and honor it. The school is also under some financial hardship, so we are all worried we might not get payed. In short, a largge portion of the staff is not satisfied with the new management and is leaving- I would not reccomend this school to my worst enemy!
