Seems like a lot of people are having problems here these days, myself included. So I just wanted to do this poll.

Hey what's up with the numbers?
66+33 does NOT equal 100.

Still waiting for my 600 "Security deposit" from June 30. But credit where it's due, the bonus and last month's salary, including a tax rebate were paid the day after I left- with a phone call in the afternoon though.

No I didn't and I'm starting to get a bit angry about it actually. This has happened two months in a row.

Last month, he pays me 1.4 of my wage and then 3 days later gives me the rest, only to borrow 800,000 with the promise to pay me back "at some point in the future".

Then he comes back and asks for another 600,000 to borrow! He pays back the 600,000 in the same day (kind oif weird), and a week later after I push him, I get 700,000 from him but she have not seen the last 100,000.

Not only that, but the guy has the proverbial balls to "borrow" 60,000 from me and only later tells me he wants the money to "relieve his stress".

And you only get one guess as to what that means.......

And to top it all off, the guy has the audacity to threaten to fire me because I was late coming to work last Friday due to circumstances beyond my control.

My troubles began on payday last month, the 15th July. He made some eleborate bs about credit card problems. I gave him 5 days to pay. On that day he gave me 600.000w. Heated argument. Agreed to pay a week later. 4 days passed, i hit him with a sudden threat to walk out by the end of the day. Heated negotiations all day long in between lessons. Got another 300.000. Another 300.000 a few days later. Another 200.000 yesterday. Situation: still owes me 500.000, its now 25 days late. Am finishing contract next week: its all coming down to last minute bs typical Korean style. The new teacher replacing me has said he won't start work until I've been paid in full.

my troubles began on thursday. THe korean teacher comes up to me and says that her pay day was supposed to be on the second but she hadn't been paid yet. Her pay was 5 days late. I was supposed to be paid the next day and started to worry about it. my boss direct deposits my pay and during the day there was not a word from him about my pay which is usual (he also doesn't speak english). after work I go to my bank and check my account: no pay. I"m hoping that on monday he will pay me.
more bad news i just recently bought a notebook computer so all the money i had saved up is gone. i got less than 200,000 won (i might have a few hundred dollars in my bank account in canada). if this turns into a long term problem I will run out of money and be really screwed.

I've been lucky with pay. 2 years always on time and in full, though all with the same school so it's not that remarkable I guess.
