I wrenched my back out and work is impossible right now without some of the good stuff. I sent word back home to send me some oxy in the post but that will take forever. Whats it like to get decent pain meds over the counter here. I have absolutley no idea, can someone please inform me.

| Would a muscle relaxant like naproxen sodium work? You can get that over the counter. |

| Im on a muscle relaxant now but it totally knocks me out. With oxy I can function normally with a huge smile on my face. Im sure its not possible to get it over here, just wishful thinking, thanks! |

Yeah I bet you can, lol.
It's just like the US--you need a prescription. Also, drugs aren't as easy to obtain in Korea. You're gonna have to go to the doctor, where you'll likely be told to drink some nut tea and stop using the a/c. |

| Is there any info on this? I think this guy really needs some help and we all know how hit and miss it is in some of those rural locations with doctors. I'll do some research for you buddy and in the mean time lets hope somebody else on here can help too. |

| You can go in and get a shot of morphine or codene at most any hospital but its been my experience that they WILL NOT give you opiates of any kind in pill form to take as you need. |

i have a chronic back pain issue. I've been here for almost a year. Here is what I do... I get codiene from my doctor in canada, get the pharmacy to send it to a pharmacy here. That gets the opiates past customs. Great someone's sending you good things, but be careful they don't get lost or taken at customs.
nothing good over the counter. nada.
a doctor, at a general hospital (i've tried from smaller clinics, and it doesn't seem to work) can give you a codiene prescription, but its too small (like 10mg stupid small) but they'll give you tramadol, which for me is better. just make sure that you get a long enough prescription, cuz they wanna give you just like five seconds worth prescribed to a ten pound little girl. So I get a month's at a time and then open all my packages and take three doses at once (one does nothing).
I also find that celebrex works well for my back. they have that here, but again you need a prescription. My experience: Korea is hell for dealing with pain.
