I recently sent out a resume for a part time job at an elementary school, and here is the reply I got.
Dear BEEJ,

Yes its the same recruiter. Funny.
Has it even been confirmed that this John Karr even taught in korea? It was on his resume, but no school name was there. And if it turns out that this guy isnt even the killer ( which seems very possible now) will the korean media make amends and will Koreans go back to just seeing us white teachers as drunks and corruptors of korean women and not killers?
The stuff that koreans pull in our home countries: prostitution, extortion, bear poaching, is horrendous. Yet our media doesnt condemn all Koreans. Just another reason why our sociteies are superior to Korea.
On a side note, I just dumped my korean girlfriend in light of the 31 hookers who were human trafficked in my home country.I dont want to date no hooker. I dont think I should teach any more female students either, they can all be hookers you know. |

If you both got the same response from the same recruiter, it's probably not really the reason anyway.
Maybe it's just this recruiter's version of a form letter when someone isn't hired (or the school's excuse when they decided they couldn't afford it).
P.S. The "sex scandal" could also be the previously discussed summer camp cases as opposed to Mr. Karr. |

My guess is that you both got the same reply from a recruiter when you applied for public school positions that he was advertising but didn't in fact have access to.
I expect you will get a couple of hakwon offers from him in the near future now that he has some resumes to peddle. |

I did send an email back asking what sex scandal she was talking about.
I have yet to receive a reply. |
