Well with all my efforts, including a Korean translation, I was told to go home. They kept the 820,000 won plus refused to pay for my expense for showering. DO NOT WORK for HanMi in Sacheon, Samcheompo. They arecrooked. All they want to do is collect money from students who never speak any better. They all just read and write and have no idea of meaning.

Having no shower in your housing is insane. That's one you just take for granted. Having to pay your own money to go get cleaned up at a public bath house (every day?)... that's just nuts.

Han-Mi in Sacheon? Is it related to ELS in Jinju by any chance? A loooooong time ago, I worked at Han-Mi in Jinju, which was in front of Gyeongsang University. But it got knocked down to make way for some apartments, and good riddance. Are the bosses two brothers, and one is called JP?

If yes to all the above, I'm sorry to hear it. I thought what they did when I was there was bad enough and, boy, do I have some stories, but they don't compare to your shower issue.

Sure the OP in this thread is a little brief and difficult to understand if you haven't read the other thread, but give the guy a break; I'd write like that too if I didn't have a shower and that was how the boss handled it.

If you were drunk when you wrote the original post, I can understand all the spelling mistakes, and duplicated letters, but damn, I count at least 11 mistakes in an eleven line post.

I got a PM from the OP regarding my post. Not as bad a flame as I thought it might be. He explained that his errors were a result of anger, and that he is a professional teacher and has thirty years experience. While the English in the first two thirds of his PM was impeccable (sp?), the last two lines, quoted below; again, makes me think K-troll.

"They took my money which I worked hard for and tried to improve students. They did not live up to contract."

The first sentence IS a sentence, but not in the way he meant it. He, I believe, is trying to say that he worked hard and tried to improve his students <English skills>sic, but they took his money. What he ACTUALLY wrote was that not only did his employers take his money, but that they ALSO tried to improve the students. Well, DAMN THEM for doing that!

The second sentence is missing a very important article. Interestingly, it's a common mistake even among my highest level students.

Sorry OP. Having trouble believing who you say you are.
