|

Unbelieveable! Track him down to Thailand....thrown in jail....deported...all within a week and today the prosecutor drops the charges....it's not him! But....he's off to the land of fruits and nuts, La La land, California, for charges!
What a waste of thousands and thousands of dollars.
Someone sure was lacking brains upstairs it seems!
Sure...maybe he is guilty in the California case...still...
Colorado Gov. Bill Owens blasted prosecutors for wasting thousands of taxpayer dollars to bring Karr to Colorado given such a lack of evidence. The district attorney "should be held accountable for the most extravagant and expensive DNA test in Colorado history," he said. |

So, what's your point? Isn't there another thread covering this topic? |

It looks better for them to say he was released because of DNA evidence than to admit that his alibi checked out (his family have been claiming since his arrest that he was spending christmas vacation with them hundreds of miles away). |

With his statements and emails, they had a compelling reason to bring him back and check him out. I wouldn't want to rely on a DNA test conducted by an agency other than mine, so I'd have brought him back for that. Add the fact that he was teaching, or about to start teaching, in a school where he had access to kids, they couldn't wait.
The DNA testing showed Karr was full of crap about the JonBenet Ramsey case and they dropped the charges against him. The system worked.
The governor is making a big deal for the same reason any politician does, he's pandering to voters. |

Not really. If the system had worked, they would have not have revealed as much information as they did, nor would they have paraded him without getting the results of the tests. The investigators also claimed he had knowledge of the crime that only the killer would have known...well, now we know what this information was because it's been published in the media (I'll spare you the details). |
