I really need to buy some new bras. I've wearing really old ones for a while now because I thought I was going back and could just wait and get some new ones there. That is no longer in the picture, so Plan B. (Plan C is to use the internet, which I don't like to do because in the past, most bras I've bought over the internet have turned out to be scratchy, pinch, or are just plain uncomfortable. I want to be able to try them on before I fork over the cash.) I would prefer not to wear maternity bras (seems to be the only thing my size) and the LAST thing I need is anything padded (what I always get directed to).

Please, tell me where I can buy some plain cotton bras in my size. I don't like bright colors/patterns or bras that look like the local lace factory vomited on them. I'm a 34D. Help!

THANK YOU!

Before anyone mentions the search function, I already tried that. Here are the top twenty search results when searching for "bra" in this forum:

If you buy any of the major brands you should be able to order the same ones by looking at the number on the tags. That way you know it should be comfortable.

Thank you, but I was hoping to NOT order online as I have yet to get a comfortable bra online. I once bought 10 bras from Victoria's Secret and ALL of them were either poorly fitted, scratchy beyond belief, or otherwise uncomfortable. Had to give them all away.

I'd just go braless, the ultimate in comfort, but that seems to be highly disturbing to the average person on the street.

I am not as large as you but i've had luck in the past with the Triumph brand. They usually have a shop in the Lotte Depatment stores. Unfortunately they are a bit pricey at 70,000 won each. I buy all my bras online at Victoria's Secret and just cough up the price of postage if I have to return them. Sad

What I meant was that you might be able to buy the exact bra you are wearing now which you know fits. If you buy any of the big brands that department stores sell (Wonder Bra, Warners, etc) then you can look at the model number and order THAT specific bra. If not, then you're out of luck. I Have a hard time finding comfortable bras so I stocked up, but made sure they were from the major brands so that if I needed more, I could order them online.

Novernae, actually, the ones that I have now do not fit comfortably and even if they did, the tag has long since become illegible. Sad

Dazed and Confused, thanks for the tip. I'll have to hunt down that shop. Smile

La Senza makes really comfortable bras and are more reasonably priced than Victoria's Secret. The prices are all in Canadian dollars so you'll get a good exchange rate if you're paying with a Korean credit card. I've been wearing La Senza bras since junior high and have always been impressed with the fit and quality. The website's www.lasenza.com Good luck!

They have some branches of Marks & Spencers here which stock Western style bras as well as other underwear. It's a bit more pricey than their UK branches, but can be relied upon for fitting. Check their online website for branch addresses. The only one I know for sure is their branch 1 min walk from Apgujeong subway station - kind of opposite the Hyundai(?) dept store and down a bit...

There used to be a shop in Coex called LeMille or something similar that sold bras up to a western D or so, and the Venus chain of stores had larger cups as well, though they were very pricy

Though maybe it'd be worth it if you were buying from there in bulk.

if you do find a place please pm me with the location. brought back many because of this exact same problem. but, may need more before the next trip home.

i found a new bali, #3320, while home. it's not cotton but it's completely non-scratchy. "no-poke underwire" that really is comfortable. great fit, smooth cup, kinda pretty. here's a link if you want to see it. and it's less than i paid.

I like the simple design, but I personally can't stand the feel of anything but cotton on my breasts.

Jeesh,.....I'm so picky it even bothers me! Laughing
