| I have an iMac 20" and was wondering about installing windows on the computer - apparently possible. I know that you can get rip-off windows programs for 15 000 at Yongsan - would I need one specifically for Mac or just a general one? With that, I can then download a beta program from Apple to install a separate windows partition...has anyone ever done this?? Confusing... |

First you will need to download Boot Camp if you don't already have it, you can get it on Apple's website.
Then, you just need Windows with some kind of Firm Pack 2 or...whatever. I forget what it's called. But again, check Apple's site, it will have all that you need.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo............ ooooooooooooooo...............oooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
OK, I've got Virtual PC on my ppc Mac, but running it is like stepping back to the mid-90s.
You don't say if you have an intel or ppc mac. Bootcamp for intel and Virtual PC for ppc. There's tons of advice online on how to do both--just use google: installing bootcamp/virtual pc. Learn how to use bittorent while you are at it. |
