It's utterly amazing how people can have blinkers on these days, shaped by one's upbringing and CNN:

Quote:
Christianity: 2.1 billion
Islam: 1.3 billion
Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic/Atheist: 1.1 billion
Hinduism: 900 million
Chinese traditional religion: 394 million
Buddhism: 376 million
primal-indigenous: 300 million
African Traditional & Diasporic: 100 million
Sikhism: 23 million
Juche: 19 million
Spiritism: 15 million
Judaism: 14 million

http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Adherents.html

And from another website:

Quote:
Religion Members Percentage
Christianity 2.1 billion 33.0%
Islam 1.3 billion 20.1
Hinduism 851 million 13.3
Buddhism 375 million 5.9
Sikhism 25 million 0.4
Judaism 15 million 0.2%

The poll options are absurdly limited to the two in the Bible and the spin-off religion they fight with. Rolling Eyes

Count me among those who'd much prefer a Buddhist world, or a Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic/Atheist one (transport the Billion to it). Then Hinduism before the three in the poll option.

Interesting how they list "juche" as a religion.

We're missing Sufi too. "Islam" by itself doesn't really mean much if we're considering that it could be something akin to Sufism, or on the other side, Wahhabism (blech). Same thing for Christianity - Greek Orthodox would be cool, US-style end of times protestantism would be pretty gay.

Yep
