Yes, although I couldn't make to the Saturday meeting, I am now the new president of the Seoul Vegetarian Club, having taken over from RTeacher. We meet once or twice a month for lunch or dinner in Seoul, and we hope to soon have Korean and Indian vegetarian cooking classes. I'm also exploring the possibility of hooking up with local animal organizations and setting up some volunteer days with animal hospitals or shelters. I don't how successful that will be, but anyway, if you want to go out for good veggie food once a month with some cool people, PM me!

Oh, and you need not be either vegetarian or a foreigner to come, either. So bring your friends, eh?

I think that the transition could have been a little smoother, but I'm glad that you're enthusiastic about taking over. Good luck.

So when is the next get together? Do we need to bring rose petals to throw at the feet of this Tofu Chomper? I think he might appreciate it greatly.

1) Grand Poombah

2) Master of All

3) Prime Minister

4) Destroyer of Worlds

5) Sir

6) Premier

7) Chief

Cool Prime Minister

9) Emperor

10) Tofu King

11) Mr. No Beef

12) Admiral

13) Squire

14) His Honorable "insert name"

15) Chief Executive Officer or CEO

16) "H" in memory of Bond.

17) Little Lord "insert name"

1Cool Mack Daddy

19) Viceroy

20) Pigeon Kisser

anyone else have suggestions?

ps. I would be happy to tell Tofu Chomper to go ahead and delete that board he set up. I think you can get good results from a Yahoo group as well.

I've always been a big fan of "Swami".

From what I understand, it's Bahasa Malaysia for "hubby".

I've always been kinda partial to "your highness" ...

I think that "Hater Depot" is planning to schedule the meeting not this weekend but the following one (and probably on Sunday...)

My recommendation for female veggy clubbers who want to meet this week is to go to the Dave's ESL Cafe forum Ladies lunch gathering this Saturday at the Thai Orchid. They have a good vegetarian menu...

Dude don't piss me off with that defeatist sort of talk rteacher. You might catch a shotglass to the head if you ain't careful. I must eat vegan food! I INSIST, but the ladies sure as hell ain't gonna ever mistake me for being a woman. Unless I convince them I am a really hairy and ugly russian chick.

I plan to start in Oct. I'm in process of arranging everything for the cooking class, including a place and a photographer. I didn't pick the exact day yet cause I think we should discuss this matter together. I have a list that all the works need to be done is written, and I expect some help from members. I'm really easy going so it should be fun working with me together. Ah! I'm very happy to take this job, with full responsibility. I also like the idea of getting together with animal lovers. I love dogs very much. One of the best gifts from God is a dog.

Hey, don't pay for a photographer - They're having a big photography contest on this forum, and there are some great photographers involved looking for interesting subjects. A Korean woman vegetarian cook assisted by some meeguk teachers in a USO kitchen facility should make for some great pics...

I'm no longer acting in any official capacity (other than setting up a shadow government in the basement of the Blue House that's accountable to no one...) but I think it might be a good idea to send "Dan the Chainsawman" on an undercover mission to spy on the Ladies' Lunch at Thai Orchid...

He could discreetly dress as a Muslim woman (with viel...) and have a camera hidden in his purse (picked up for cheap on Itaewon street...) The idea is to get some unflattering shots of Dave's forum ladies (spilling food on themselves, picking their noses, etc...) which later could be used to blackmail members into revealing the group's political strategy vis-a-vis the veggie club...

If some aggressive Ladies' club member (versed in OPSEC techniques by watching AFN...) detects and unviels "Dan" he can plausibly claim that he's just there competing in the Dave's Photography contest (and that he was also influenced by reading the transgender thread on this forum...)

All,

Well, in the last e-mail I proposed having a veggie barbecue on Mt. Namsan. So far I have heard from 6 people who like the idea. A few want to do Saturday the 16th, a few want to do Sunday the 17th. Please either post here or e-mail me to let me know what you prefer.
