Just an observation in the gym about pubic hairs. No need to be a d*ck about it. Just kind of gross really. The constant spitting in the shower is disgusting too.
I don't think anyone is seriously bragging that they can lift more weight than most Koreans. I think it is mainly laughing at the "ego-lifters"
that just have to beat you. Competitive to the extreme. Like if they manage to lift 5 more pounds than you, even if it just one rep and you have done 12, it is a major victory for Korea. I mean who cares. There are many Koreans that are bigger and stronger than me. Good for them. To be fair I have seen many "ego-lifters" back in Canada and they are funny to watch too. |

Right. Like I was telling the guys at the gym yesterday, I lift heavy because I basically have a desk job. The hardest thing I do all day is resisting falling asleep. Plus, lifting heavy i just fun. It's the best stress relief for me. When I leave the gym after a heavy workout, I'm drained, but I have a huge smile on my face. |

Speaking of which, it's about time for the Annual Dave's Benchpress Competition.

the victory is in the amount of muscle mass you have as opposed to how much you can lift anyways. I have heard of this attitude back when i was in Icheon although I never encountered it first hand. Very very sad.....

funny post!
i arrived in SK back in the middle of june, by mid july, i was really bored and looked for a gym/health club with weights. my translator escorted me to sign up and check out the gym, we got a membership application and i wanted to sign up that very week. I dated it july 20th. now it's the beginning of sept. and i just found that very application!
i'm quite the procrastinator as u can see.
Promised myself though to sign up by the end of the week...we'll see how that goes.. |
